With the Solstice upon us and kids out of school, we know summer is truly here. It’s the time when spring plants leave us, some slipping into dormancy, others being cut back to spur the growth of new foliage. The plants of summer come front and center, ready to handle hot sun, thunderstorms and the occasional foul ball. Take some time to come out and see the Daylilies and some of these other flowers of the season:
• Achillea
• Astilbe
• Campanula lactiflora
• Centranthus
• Clematis
• Coreopsis lanceolata
• Gaura
• Iris ensata
• Ligularia “The Rocket”
• Lobelia
• Thalictrum rochebrunianum
